Liopyrakis Megaron is one of the most important examples of romantic neoclassical architecture of the city. It is located at the corner of Epimenidou and 25th of August Street.

Dimitris Kyriakou started to build it at the beginning of the 20th century. It was one of the magnificent mansions that built on 25th of August Street, turning the street into the most commercial road in the city of Heraklion! The street was known also as Ruga Maistra and it connects the center of the city with the port.
