We are traveling to schools across Crete with the new educational program "In Our Sun’s Neighborhood", inviting students and teachers to discover the fascinating world of Astronomy!
The observation of celestial movements has fascinated humans since prehistoric times. The first astronomers managed to distinguish the planets, which appeared to "wander" around a large star. But how many planets are there? What is this great star that they all orbit around? How does an astronomer study the sky?
Children are invited to explore our Solar System and discover the planets within it. Jupiter, Saturn, Venus, and all the other planets introduce themselves through a series of experiments, revealing their secrets about their surface, atmosphere, orbit, and distance from the Sun. Join us as we journey through our Sun’s neighborhood!
