Exploration visits Rethymno and Central Public Library!
Exploration Children’s Museum visits the city of Rethymno in June. Central Public Library of Rethymno will host Museum’s activities and invites children with parents and teachers to explore, experiment, discover and of course play.
On Friday, June 21st, Exploration will hold two educational programs for elementary school children. Specifically,
- 10.30am - 12.00pm, ""Book: the talking leaves”:
Children explore the different roles books have had over the centuries and understand the ways in which they influenced humanity. They solve puzzles, decode old secrets and, thought important personalities and events, they finally discover the book as an object representative of our culture.
- 12.30 pm – 14.00pm, “Inside the museum”:
Children discover what a "museum" really is by observing and exploring everyday objects, copies and authentic artifacts. By turning into museologists, conservationists, tour guides and visitors, students make their own exhibitions and give us tour(s) in their own unique way. Going through Exploration Children’s Museum’s collections children imagine what their own (children's) museum would look like.
Educational programs will be held in Central Public Library, free of charge. Spaces are limited.
