Next to the church of Saint Titus and behind the Loggia, is the "Armeria".  Armeria was the armory of the Venetians, where they gathered most of their armor. The armory was also used by the Ottomans, while at the same time it was also a storage for taxes. Inside Armeria there was a church dedicated to Saint Nikolaos.

Next to the building, you can see the large square of Church Saint Titos, where there is one of the oldest trees in the city: Platanos. Many trees have been characterized as "monumental trees" due to their size and their age in various regions of Crete. The most famous of them is the evergreen sycamore of Ancient Gortyna, under which it is said Zeus met Europa, who gave birth to Minos.
